Warren Steed Jeffs (born December 3, 1955) is the current president of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS Church) from 2002–2007 and 2011–present.[4][5] He may still have been considered the Prophet of the FLDS Church 2007–2011 by some, as no certain statements have been made that he stepped aside from this position after his conviction, now overturned, in 2007. While president and "Prophet, Seer and Revelator" of the organization, Jeffs wields considerable religious as well as secular power, in line with the FLDS Church's theocratic principles.
